พฤศจิกายน 1999...เมืองเก่า Termez ได้รับการย่อมรับในการประชุม วาระที่ 30 ของการประชุมลงมติของ / UNESCO ณ กรุงปาริส ประเทศฝรั่งเศษ  ในการเฉลิมฉลองครบ 2500ปี.  ประกาศให้เป็นที่ประจักรเป็นพยานต่อสายตาชาวโลกฯ

เมืองเก่า Termez; เป็นเขตปกครองหนึ่งที่เก่าแก่ที่สุดของจังหวัดหวัด สุคันดาร์ย่าใน ๑๖เขต(อำเภอ)  Sukhandarya Region ปัจจุบัน  ในอดีตกาลเมือสองพันปีผ่านมาเป็นศูนย์กลางการค้า การปกครอง และมีพหุวัฒนธรรมเป็นพื้นฐานการอยู่รวมกันแบบสันติสุขสันติธรรมทั้งมิลักขะและอริยกะเหล่าชน  เป็นศูนย์กลางเผยแผ่เรียนรู้ พระพุทธศาสนา เข้าสู่แผ่นดินใหญ่-จีน-

*Global  Buddhist Forum: Mahakaruna and Future of Buddhist  Propagation

 Excellency,

-Buddhism is one of the ancient and widespread religions in the world. In Uzbekistan, Buddhism has more than the 2000-year of history and became the state religion of the Kushan Empire, one of the great states of its time, which includes the current territories of Pakistan and Central Asia states.
Buddhism in Central Asia, from where the representatives of Theravada and Mahayana schools spread Buddhist teachings to East and Southeast Asia, including China, Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia and Thailand through the Silk Road, left its mark on the lifestyle of the local population even till nowadays.
-To date, more than 20 Buddhist stupas and other structures have been preserved on the territory of Uzbekistan, which was excavated by Uzbek, Russian, Japanese, and Australian archaeologists.
Buddhist culture and works of art found on the territory of Uzbekistan are now in museums in Uzbekistan, Russia, Great Britain, Japan, the USA, France, and Germany. A statue of the Triad of Buddha, a stone statue of a sitting and meditating Buddha, a statue of a Kushan prince, parts of the head, fragments of hands, clothes and feet of Buddha statues found in Buddhist monasteries and preserved amazingly, recognised as one of the unique works of world culture and human civilisation and is among the treasures of humanity.

In this regard, to notice the historical and cultural deep relations between the Uzbek and Thai people, the Consulate-General of Uzbekistan appreciate your assistance in presenting Revival & Restores of Buddhism’s Central Asia, Uzbekistan, at the Global Buddhist Forum on the auspicious occasion of the 53rd anniversary of the Dhammakaya Wat Phra, on 6 March 2023.
I would like to inform that Dr. Phansak Boonyasopholphong will be a focal point for this event from the Consulate-General of Uzbekistan.
